Are mini shin pads allowed in matches?
Under the Laws of the Game, shin pads must be made of a suitable material, be big enough to give reasonable protection and be covered by the socks. The Laws don’t set a minimum size, and the size is your own responsibility (for junior goalkeepers, the parents’). The referee has the final say, and some leagues and junior competitions don’t allow mini shin pads. Check your own rules before using them in matches.
